Eminem has been riding high on the success of his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), ever since it was released less than a month ago. The full-length has been performing extremely well since it dropped, especially on streaming sites. Millions of plays per week have kept the title afloat, but its reign on one Billboard tally has now come to an end.
The Death of Slim Shady no longer rules the Top Streaming Albums chart. This week, Eminem’s latest slips from No. 1 to No. 5 in a fairly sizable tumble.
Eminem has been replaced at No. 1 on Billboard’s list of the most-streamed albums in the U.S. by Morgan Wallen. The country superstar’s One Thing at a Time is back in charge of the list, pushing the rapper out of the spotlight.
The Death of Slim Shady managed two turns on the throne of the Top Streaming Albums chart. The hip-hop legend debuted his latest release at No. 1, earning his first career champion on the roster in the process. The studio effort then managed to hold on to the penthouse for a second frame, but it seems that’s where its tenure on top ends.
One Thing at a Time is one of the most successful titles in the history of the Top Streaming Albums chart, which, admittedly, remains fairly short. This frame, Wallen’s blockbuster shoots from No. 4 to regain its control over the highest space. The bestseller—and strong streamer—has now ruled for seven nonconsecutive frames.
Wallen claims a pair of spaces inside the top 10 this week. As One Thing at a Time dominates once more, the country musician’s Dangerous improves its standing. The second title pushes forward to settle at No. 7, up from No. 9, where it appeared last time around.
The same trend is happening with these two projects on the Billboard 200. The Death of Slim Shady falls from No. 3 to No. 7 in its third week on the tally. Meanwhile, One Thing at a Time surges to No. 2, held back from running the show again only by Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. That title makes its way back to No. 1 for a thirteenth nonconsecutive frame.
