Britney Spears’ recent behavior has been the topic of much discussion in recent months, and she has become much more active on social media (although what she posts sometimes creates confusion).

In a recent post on Instagram, the Toxic singer showed her support for her rumored former flame, Wade Robson, as he addressed trauma that he had experienced in his life.

Robson had previously alleged that Michael Jackson abused him as a child, and in August 2023, it was revealed that he and James Safechuck’s case would head to trial (after their initial lawsuits were dismissed in 2017, per Page Six).

Earlier this month, Wade Robson posted a black-and-white video of himself informing fans his podcast, From Trauma to Triumph, would be returning. He also spoke about how they had released a new episode. In the caption of the post, Robson spoke more about his podcast and what fans could expect from it. “Our new episode features Dr. Peter A. Levine, Ph.D. He is the developer of Somatic Experiencing, a naturalistic and neurobiological approach to healing trauma, which he has developed over the past 50 years,” he wrote.

“In this conversation with Peter, we speak about his brand new book, entitled ‘An autobiography of trauma: A healing journey’ where he shares his personal journey to heal his own severe childhood trauma,” the caption continues. “We also talk about the Somatic Experiencing technique and its application. Along with topics like dissociation, shame, self-compassion, and the role of community in healing. It’s a powerful and enlightening conversation, and we hope you enjoy it.” Someone who did seem to enjoy it is Britney Spears because she reposted the video to her own Instagram and encouraged fans to “watch until the end.”

Although Spears has since deleted her post, it was not before fans took note. According to Page Six, in the singer’s caption, she wrote, “It warms my heart to see an older man take his time to even speak on such a subject!!!”

What Did Britney Spears Say About Wade Robson’s Trauma

Britney Spears has struggled to have her own voice heard and was under a conservatorship for 13 years, which dictated almost all the decisions she made in her life. She feels she can also speak to trauma and noted how, for “13 years, I was forced to see doctors and talk about my personal life against my will. And I was right the whole time.” She continued to detail some painful memories and how she wanted to forget them. “I don’t want to remember those things … but I see now I can’t face my past, how do I move forward if I don’t know where I’ve been???” she questioned.

In her caption, Spears also spoke about how she “hates” alcohol, and despite allegations she does not do drugs. She also voiced her support for Robson. “I probably don’t talk to him as much but I wanted to share this because it genuinely touched my heart to see this older man speak on something that’s incredibly sensitive to my heart!!!” She added, “There is a complete understanding of what he is saying, and I think I’m gonna cry for the rest of my life now!!! God bless you!!!” However, the post was met with backlash from Michael Jackson fans.

According to The Mirror, before Spears deleted the post, the comment section was filled with messages from Jackson’s fans calling her out for supporting Robson.
