Travis Hunter has been on fire this season. But even with his amazing performances, doubts lingered about whether he could actually win the Heisman. Well, those doubts can take a backseat now because he just made history, snagging college football’s most prestigious award.

And Angel Reese while busy soaking up Miami vibes and gearing up for Unrivaled, took a moment to show love and drop some powerful advice for the rising NFL star.

She tweeted, “Why am I crying I’m so happy for Travis, man!!” And she followed up with three words of wisdom that hit home: “Bet on yourself. It will take you far!” Simple, powerful, and oh-so-true-especially for someone like Hunter, who’s been proving critics wrong all season.

He dominated on both sides of the ball as a two-way superstar. Guided by Coach Prime, aka Deion Sanders, the 21-year-old brought the Heisman Trophy to Colorado for the first time in 30 years. He edged out Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty in one of the closest votes since 2009, with Hunter snagging 552 first-place votes and 2,231 points to Jeanty’s 309 and 2,017.

Now, he becomes the second player in Colorado history to win the Heisman, joining the late Rashaan Salaam. And this ceremony was a special one as for the first time since 2015, no quarterbacks made the top two. Hunter and Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty proved the trend wrong with their epic performances.

When the moment came, Colorado star looked emotional and proud. Dressed sharp in a baby blue suit with a crisp white turtleneck, he dropped his head to soak it all in before sharing hugs with his fiancée, mom Ferrante Edmonds, and Coach Prime.

His quarterback, Shedeur Sanders, and friend Lil’ Wayne were also there, hyping him up. On stage, Hunter’s gratitude was palpable. “First, I want to say, thank God,” he began, visibly emotional. “Your belief’ll take you a long way. It’s crazy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Meanwhile, before hitting the court herself, Angel Reese is busy having a bit more fun.

Angel Reese takes a break in Abu Dhabi before Unrivaled debut

The Chicago Sky star is soaking in some much-needed adventures before she dives back into the game at Unrivaled next month. Recently, she traded in the basketball court for the desert, heading all the way to Abu Dhabi for some exciting cultural experiences.

Along with her mother, she explored the landscapes. Angel flew nearly 7,855 miles from Miami. She made sure to share every moment with her fans on Instagram, posting a carousel of stunning photos with the caption, “48hrs in Abu Dhabi/Duba @etihad.”

The pics showed her enjoying the sandy stretches of the desert. The baller even went full-on local, rocking a traditional pheran dress while taking a camel ride. But at the same time, she has been gearing up for Unrivaled.

Just before heading to Abu Dhabi, she shared on social media that she had been training hard in anticipation of her next big game. The excitement for this new league is truly palpable. With just a month to go, we can’t wait to see what everyone brings to the court.
