With the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry boxing clash just around the corner, the excitement surrounding the event is palpable. The pre-fight antics have begun, and are as colorful as fight fans would expect. The duo will step into the ring at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, on July 20.

The bout will be a traditional boxing match, airing on DAZN pay-per-view. Perry stepped in after Mike Tyson couldn’t compete due to poor health.

Recently, both fighters didn’t hold back during an intense face-to-face interview. The former UFC fighter, Perry, dismissed Paul’s past victories against aging mixed martial arts stars. He boasted about his prime condition and recent success in bare-knuckle fighting while promising to exploit Paul’s inexperience inside the ring.

“Your little baby green punches can’t even reach my brain stem, bro. I’m going to dig through your eyeball and find your memories.”

Meanwhile, Paul exuded confidence in his abilities. While he gave props to his opponent for his accolades in bare-knuckle fighting, as per the 27-year-old, his boxing skills and power will allow him to have a field day with Perry inside the ring.

The build-up to this fight has been nothing short of entertaining. From Paul’s prank calls to Perry’s outlandish threats, it’s clear both men are committed to the show. Both these athletes have found success in their respective sports. Perry is crossing over to Paul’s sport to challenge him there, however, the chances of seeing the former Disney star compete in a bare-knuckle fight against Perry seem slim.

Mike Perry remains doubtful about Jake Paul facing him in a bare-knuckle bout in the Future

Trash talk has become a staple in publicizing combat sports bouts. Mike Perry and Jake Paul are no exception. Perry recently threw down a unique gauntlet. He called Paul’s bluff on bare-knuckle fighting. The July 20 bout in Tampa, Florida, has both fighters in the spotlight. Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, faces Perry, a BKFC star with UFC experience.

Recently, Paul hinted at potential MMA or bare-knuckle fights with Perry. He claimed he could beat Perry anywhere, anytime. Perry, however, isn’t buying what Paul is selling. He’s certain ‘The Problem Child’ wouldn’t dare to step in a bare-knuckle ring and face him.

“One thing I want to remind Jake over and over again is that he wouldn’t do a bare-knuckle fight.”

Perry’s confidence stems from his impressive 5-0 record in BKFC. He’s even defeated former UFC champions like Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship banner. The former UFC fighter acknowledges he’s entering Paul’s territory for this fight. But he’s far from intimidated by the challenge.
