Caitlin Clark and boyfriend Connor McCaffery suffer a tough day but it makes them stronger

The pair are still going strong despite a tough weekend professionally.

aitlin Clark did not enjoy the WNBA debut she dreamed of, but she still has a very proud boyfriend in Connor McCaffery.

The Indiana Pacers were thrashed by the Connecticut Sun in their WNBA season opener, with Clark leading the scoring with 20 but committing 10 turnovers.

Despite the scoring, it was the kind of performance you might expect from a rookie coming into a professional league, and Clark will be under no illusions that she will need to learn plenty this season despite her clearly impressive talent.

Still, reaching the WNBA is an achievement by itself, and that’s something Clark’s boyfriend McCaffery has acknowledged in a social media post, posting an image of Clark walking onto the court.

McCaffery had a difficult weekend of his own. The former college star is now a coaching assistant with the Indiana Pacers, and they were hammered by the New York Knicks on Wednesday, falling 3-2 behind in the series.

The relationship is going strong

The pair got together officially on April 24 of last year, and on the same day this year, they commemorated their one-year anniversary as a couple.

McCaffery posted a picture together with Clark and wrote: “”One year of the best mems w my fav person. you make everyday better and I can’t wait for many more adventures together… love you.”
