“I fantasize about it all the time”- Steph Curry mentions thing he covets doing on the basketball court
Steph Curry wished he could play above the rim — something the NBA’s greatest sharpshooter has been “fantasizing” about all the time by his admission. The 4x NBA champion admitted as much in the latest episode of ‘Heat Check’— a podcast venture that focuses on the Currys. The Golden State Warriors superstar linked up with his father and the co-host, Dell.
When asked if there is one thing he covets on the hardwood, Curry responded that he indeed wants to play above the rim, citing his teammate Jonathan Kuminga as an example of a player who could do that.

It’s not often that Curry is seen dunking. He is one of those players who usually catches fire from any point downtown, making the dunk the least-used weapon in his arsenal. His frame makes it challenging for the guard to attack the rim and play above it, but given the 36-year-old’s underrated musculature and athleticism, it’s perhaps a matter of time before we see him gear up for a dunk sometime next season.
Warriors GM confident that Steph Curry will be a Warrior for life
In the wake of Klay Thompson leaving the Warriors and joining the Dallas Mavericks after non-feasible contract negotiations, Golden State GM Mike Dunleavy Jr. believed that would not be the case with Steph Curry. Speaking at the ongoing Summer League in Las Vegas, the front office head honcho was confident that Curry would play his last game in a Warriors jersey.
“Steph, I think I can say pretty confidently, that he will be a Warrior for life.”It’s worth noting that Curry is eligible for a one-year extension this summer and Dunleavy made it abundantly clear by saying, “That guy can get what he wants.” Steph Curry and the Warriors missed the playoffs last season, and now they have added a string of names in the offseason including De’Anthony Melton, Buddy Hield, and Kyle Anderson to bolster their talent on both ends of the floor.
Now, it will be an intriguing 2024-25 season with a new-look Warriors taking the floor and Steph Curry leading the side again.
