50 Cent Launches His Own TV Channel With Powerhouse Company

50 Cent has announced the launch of his own TV channel in partnership with Lionsgate.

50 Cent Action will be a free-to-air TV channel supported by advertising, and feature films and TV shows from Lionsgate’s vast library of projects.

50’s Power series will also air on the network, as will over a dozen films starring the rapper and actor including The Expendables 4. The other three films from the Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham-starring action franchise will also be available.

“50 Cent’s movies and television series are synonymous with non-stop action, and we’re thrilled to extend our longstanding partnership into the FAST [free ad-supported streaming] space,” Lionsgate president of worldwide television distribution Jim Packer said in a statement on Thursday (1 August).

50 said in his own statement: “This channel will bring diverse, action-packed content to audiences everywhere, reflecting my passion for storytelling and providing a platform for fresh, dynamic voices. I look forward to working closely with all the FAST platforms to make this a successful channel.”

The G-Unit boss also promoted the upcoming network on Instagram, writing: “Excited to officially announce my brand new Live TV FAST Channel created in partnership with Lionsgate, 50 CENT ACTION — Get ready for non-stop action, exclusive content, and your favorite movies and shows all for FREE! 50 Cent also spoke about his plans for the channel in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter prior to its announcement.

“There’s going to be new content in there, but I got access to a huge library of action films. It’s got to be premium. I don’t want to see me like I see my people on Tubi. I’ll make sure the quality of everything is there,” he said.

“The platform has to be able to fit my original material. So you’ll see the Power series — those universes will be there. BMF now has spinoff shows coming. Give me one year and I’ll be ranked the highest FAST channel.”

50 has previously starred in many films for Lionsgate including Escape PlanThe Frozen Ground and the recently released Boneyard which also features Mel Gibson.
