Over the weekend, there was a lot of attention on Jake Paul as he publicly challenged UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira. This move garnered support from UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley, who voiced his excitement about the possibility of a boxing match between Paul and Pereira.

This weekend, ‘The Problem Child’ efficiently defeated former UFC fighter Mike Perry, securing the victory by knocking him out in the sixth round. After this triumph, the younger Paul sibling challenged the UFC light heavyweight champion to a boxing match. Despite widespread belief among fans and analysts that wanting to fight Pereira is a risky move, there is one UFC fighter who supports the potential bout.

I met that dude (Alex Pereira), f***ing scary big. His hand was like four of my hand. Bro, dude’s terrifying. But I love the callout.

Paul wants to take on arguably the most deadly striker in recent UFC history. Although O’Malley knows how terrifying Pereira is, he thinks it’s an amazing matchup for ‘The Problem Child’. However, to get there, Paul will first have to overcome Mike Tyson in November of this year. Tyson was scheduled to fight Paul on July 20th. However, due to a sudden health issue, the 58-year-old boxing legend was replaced by Mike Perry.

Meanwhile, from the looks of it, Pereira was quite serious about the callout since he did not even wait for Paul to step out of the ring before FaceTiming him. This is not the first time that Paul has shown interest in fighting MMA stars. Even in his resume, he has victories against Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz. However, it is not necessary that everyone only Paul calls out MMA fighters. Recently, one of the UFC champions called out the ’Problem Child’ for a MMA bout.

Both Sean O’Malley and Jake Paul have worked together multiple times. Most recently to promote Paul’s new hygiene brand called ’W’. Apart from this both the fighters appear to have bad blood for each other. O’Malley in particular has banter going on with popular boxers almost every now and then. Whereas, Paul is no less in this regard.

However, to ignite a spark between both superstars, Sean O’Malley didn’t hold back from calling out Jake Paul for an MMA fight at UFC 303. The card was on the verge of being a failure, after the Conor McGregor and Jamahal Hill withdrawals. O’Malley took no time to make himself available for the card. However, the fighter he called out to fight was an interesting choice.

Ultimately, it was Alex Pereira who replaced the main event bout in place of McGregor. Now coming to the present, Jake Paul’s win against Mike Perry has given him a big boost ahead of the Mike Tyson fight. However, it remains to be seen whether the world will witness a boxing bout between ’Poatan’ and the ’Problem Child’ or not. As of now, nothing has been made official yet.
