Jake Paul Says Brother Logan Fell Victim to Boxing Promoter Who Duped Nate Diaz After Promising $10M Payout

Nate Diaz and Logan Paul have one thing in common as allegedly Fanmio owes both of them a lot of money. Nate Diaz was in a controversy with Fanmio and even filed a lawsuit against them. He sued Fanmio and Solomon Engel after allegedly not receiving $9 million of a promised $10 million payday for his boxing match with Jorge Masvidal. The fighter only received $1 million upfront for the fight, but the rest of the money that was promised to him was not paid.

There is more news about the same company, and Jake Paul came forward to say that even his brother did not get the full amount. Let’s see what happened.

Jake Paul, who recently won against Mike Perry was following the news about the lawsuit. And he did not miss the opportunity to rub salt on Diaz’s wound by offering him $15 million. The first wound was given by Paul to Diaz on the August 5, 2023, where he defeated the fighter. However, recently during a podcast with Full Send Podcast, he revealed his concerns regarding Diaz and even mentioned his brother.

When the hosts asked him about the scam, Jake Paul said, “There are a lot of sketchy a** people in boxing, especially in that company I am pretty sure. Allegedly in my opinion that company still owes my brother money.” Apparently Floyd Mayweather owes Logan Paul a few million for the exhibition bout at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami in 2021.

Meanwhile, Engel was not happy with the lawsuit because he claimed that if he paid that amount to Nate Diaz he would lose more money than he achieved, and his wife might divorce him.  He said in a statement last month, “Nate Diaz has filed a frivolous lawsuit against Fanmio which claims that Fanmio committed fraud and breach of contract, yet neither has taken place.”

Yet, recently, the whole fiasco has taken a completely different turn! There are reports that even if the competition was a hit among the audience, the numbers for the event did not gain much financial success. Moreover, Diaz is not looking for any more lawsuits against this case!

Nate Diaz backtracks on his lawsuit over Fanmio

He was reportedly suing Solomon Engel for $9 million for the amount of money that he was not paid after winning the fight. However, according to Kevin Iole, “The #DiazMasvidal fight did a gate of $1.26 million per CSAC. 13,767 tickets sold. Interestingly, ONE $5,000 ticket sold. Zero $3,500 tickets sold, 14 $2500 tickets sold, and 6,057 $25 tickets sold.”

Now this gives a staggering revelation that the $1.26 million gate is only half of the payout of $5 million. Even Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer claimed that the pay-per-view of this particular event was disastrous, and no one was buying the ticket. As the lawsuit is gaining more attention in the combat world, Diaz suddenly came out with another surprising revelation.

He said, “I ain’t suing nobody…just so we’re clear”. Now this makes matters more complicated because he previously claimed that there was outright fraud going on with him.  With Diaz lifting the lawsuit, the future of this fiasco remains in the shadows.
