Tomica Woods Kept Her Promise to Keep His Record Label Going After His Death

Before Woods lost her husband, the rapper asked his wife to keep his record label, Ruthless Records, alive. Eazy-E co-founded the label, also home to N.W.A, the iconic rap group comprising Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, and other artists. Wood shared:

“It’s been a difficult time since Eric’s death, but it’s been worth it. […] Eric wasn’t a quitter. He believed in riding a project until the wheels fell off, and if they did, then he always said he’d carry it. This company was — and is — him.”

Woods has also kept her husband’s memory alive by serving as one of the producers of “Straight Outta Compton.” The film tells the story of how N.W.A emerged from the streets of Compton and took over the rap industry with songs about tales of living in the hood.
